frances, I think you lived overseas long enough but seems not understand the meaning of weird. I was called "weird" when river rafting people parked all their cars in my property and I told them to move out. They said "I am a weird guy." In this article, I remembered in the night 【新公園】was the place famous for "Gay" gathering. No offense for "G" or "L" but felt uncomfortable when saw same sex kissing and holding arms in arms. That is all. They were free to do what they liked. That I meant "weird"
those photos with bird are good ones (fe others look a bit too dark); the park brings back old memory... To Fair: i think it's not very nice to call those people "wierd" as in those days they didn't get treated fairly or nicely by this society and they didn't have many other places to go...
X進黨對新公園做的最恐怖罪行, 不是改名為228和平公園, 而是移除了陳納德將軍的銅像. 把這位對中華民國做出重大貢獻, 並使中華民國打敗日本軍國主義的外國友人加以侮辱, 只是民進黨意識形態的冰山一角. 228不是不能討論, 但若因此把日本軍國主義當親生父親, 那只能說是搞不清楚狀況.

I am glad that 新公園 still looked the same。People comes and people goes. I hope you will see some changes after 5/20/08. BTW, in the night is 新公園 still the gathering place for those weird people?
