〈新疆事件延燒至墨爾本電影節〉

墨爾本國際電影節近日接到中國駐該市領事館一位專員的電話，要求電影節主管取消關於流亡維族領袖熱比婭‧卡迪爾（Rebiya Kadeer）的紀錄片《The 10 Conditions of Love》，該片將在8月8日在電影節首映。北京政府指控卡迪爾煽動了本月初於新疆發生的暴力事件，導致184人死亡。電影節工作人員Richard Moore對此表示：「陳春梅（音譯）女士提抗議要求我將該片撤消，並要求我對安排電影上映作出交待。我告訴她我絕對不會撤下該片，因為我沒有任何理由這 麼做。而且我也不需要對自己的行為作出交代，除非它與我們自己的道德觀有關。」《The 10 Conditions of Love》記錄了卡迪爾與她的夫婿Sidik Rouzi之間的關係，並揭示了她為中國1000萬以穆斯林為主的維族人爭取更大自治的活動對她的11個孩子造成的影響。卡迪爾曾因「向外國人提供機密資 訊」被判入獄5年，並於2005年釋放，之後流亡海外。（新聞出處：Guardian UK / 《破周報》復刊570期〈破世界〉）

The Netherlands-based distributor of Miao Miao, Fortissimo, says it was instructed by the filmmakers to withdraw the film from the festival.
