此時整個葡萄酒界正因為2008年波爾多酒預售而炒的沸沸騰騰的...

當然Robert Parker 這位大師對波爾多酒界, 特別是價格的部份, 有舉足輕重的影響力, 此時他的一字一語也就會被多方面討論.

關於他給予2008年這個年份的評價部份, 請參考2008波爾多Parker 怎麼說

根據 Bordeaux 2008: Parker has spoken  

1. Very long hang-time for the grapes, thus a slow and long maturation resulting in well-developed and complex aroma's.
2. A summer that was overall cooler and sunnier than average. Interesting, because what I heard from producers is that despite the variable weather during the growing season, the average temperature was slightly higher. Something to check.
3. It was a dry summer.

Parker points out the good fruit, the purity and freshness and the quality and the ripeness of the tannins. He states that the quality of Bordeaux 2008 comes close to 2005 and 2000, and surpasses the other vintages from this decade. Pomerol is supposedly the star appellation in the year 2008.

簡單來說Parker 認為2008是個好年, 因為 

1.葡萄在樹上熟成時間夠長, 所以葡萄的架構佳而且香氣複雜.

2.夏天的氣溫比其他清爽, 日照時間卻沒有比較少. 

3.夏天的雨水比以往少

他也認為2008波爾多酒的品質有接近2005 與2000的品質, 也比這十年來其他年份(除了2005與2000)的酒好, 特別是Pomerol 區的酒表現極佳.  

關於之前波爾多五大酒莊之一的Chateau Latour剛公布他們2008年預售價時, 我當時的想法請參考 暴風雨中的寧靜 

看完了他的年份表後, 我的意見是.....

1. Parker 認為各地區2008年波爾多酒都是Early maturing and accessible,也就是說他認為這個年份的酒"沒有陳年的空間".

2. 他認為2008這個年份的酒比2006, 2007好,也比 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001 好, 不過別忘了他是怎麼稱讚2003的酒?! (關於2003年的爭辯請參考 翻臉的原因: Parker vs Robinson )

3.  如果他認為2008年這個年份很好, 接近2005及2000的品質, 怎麼會給予2008的評分跟2005與2000差那麼多. 例如 St Estephe/Pauillac/St. Julien 2005年評分95分, 2000年評分96分, 2008年91分 , St. Emilion 2005年評分99分, 2000年評分96分, 2008年92分 ,

沒有酒評家會說哪個年份不好, 只會說適合早喝.... 

所以說To buy or not to buy 2008 Bordeaux........
