　　這首歌是1971的電影「兩小無猜」（Melody）的主題曲。這部電影有非常多曲子，全都是BeeGees唱的，我沒有細究到底是BeeGees使這部電影成為經典，還是這部電影讓BeeGees成為經典？總之，我幼年時好喜歡Mark Lester，青少年後好喜歡BeeGees，直到現在，還是三不五十非得複習一下BeeGees，這部電影和BeeGees，已交融成我心中的「夢田」。

　　電影「兩小無猜」，故事是描述英國倫敦某小學，有一個男生名叫丹尼爾（Daniel，Mark Lester飾演），還有一個女生名叫美樂蒂（Melody，Tracy Hyde飾演），他們相愛起來了，而且愛到想結婚，但大人世界根本沒理會這清純的兩小無猜，於是兩人決定私定終身，還將全班同學帶到隱密廢墟舉行自辦婚禮。當一男一女兩個學生要私奔、還讓全班學生集體翹課的消息傳出，大人世界大受驚嚇，這還得了？於是學校校長便率領全體老師去廢墟抓人，現場亂成一片，最後男女兩個小主角衝出包圍，相偕推著鐵道輕便車揚長而去。

　　這小學生的私奔童話，在七零年代初，絕對是一派清純天真到底，不像二十一世紀，孩子個個早熟、對性知之甚詳，因此小學生私奔結婚，父母大概只好等著撫養孫子孫女了。

　　電影「兩小無猜」中有一段對話，充分表達出來孩童世界對「天長地久」的天真浪漫。

　　這兩個相愛的半死的小朋友，在墓園約會談心，美樂蒂從某一墓碑上讀到先生給太太的墓誌銘，先生在石碑上刻下感謝太太帶給他的50年的快樂。小男女便出現了一段有趣的對話。

　　Melody：「Fifty years' happiness....How long's fifty years?」
　　Daniel：「A hundred and fifty school terms, not including holidays.」
　　Melody：「Will you love me that long? （你會愛我愛那麼久嗎？）」
　　Daniel：「（nods affirmative）Mmm-hmmm.……………。」
　　Melody：「I don't think you will.」
　　Daniel：「Of course. I've loved you a whole week already, haven't I？」

　　雖然對話純樸可愛，卻也不乏哲理。

　　我還記得當年我大表姊跟家人們歡樂的慶祝她的二十歲生日，大人們將之稱為「雙十年華」，我小小年紀心中暗想：「長到二十歲，為何要這麼開心呢？二十歲，都已經老到讓我想自殺了。」而現在，卻老覺得時間是五年、十年倏地瞬間在過去著，每一個鮮明的記憶，屈指算算，竟是三五年之前的事。

　　關於愛，五十年有多久呢？

　　（僅以此文紀念我第一次發現我那可愛到不行的寶貝兒子，房裡竟然藏了女生，雖然兩人只是在喝白開水下圍棋，為娘的我還是受到很大的驚嚇。....）
