回應： On Gaza

To take a peek into Palestinians' life in Gaza, one only needs to recall the event happened last January when Hamas blew up the Rafah Wall bordering Egypt. According to news reports, some Egyptian shops were cleaned out, shelves were empty. This fact supports what Jimmy Carter claims in his latest book that Gaza is a huge jail.

Talking about Middle East peace, would Israel give up the land it occupied after 1967? Would Israel allow the Palestinians (rumor has it that there are 1.2 millions of them) who were driven out of East Jerusalem when Israel occupied it, to return home? I am not optimistic. But if these two problems, and others, are not solved, I don't see how Middle East can have peace.
