謝謝James, weed@wabash, Dr. T的意見． 不在其位，不謀其事． 興趣來了，我會多說點．但是，基本上我對兩岸政治是悲觀的．絕大多數人的努力，抵不上少數狂熱者所能造成的破壞．傷好就忘了痛．人性就是如此． 更何況，比兩岸政治嚴重得多的問題已經從地平線發出隱隱雷鳴了呢．
Dear CDL, I really like your article, and encourage you and people like you to continue discussing this topic as thoroughly as possible. This topic is so critical to the future of Taiwan, and all Taiwanese people ought to understand its implications completely. The only thing I like to add is that Taiwan must start to become a true democratic country, that is ruled by law. Without it, Taiwan has achieved nothing except for a bunch of elections, and elections alone will not deliver justice to the people in Taiwan, nor will win over anybody on mainland China to force the Chinese Communist Party to change. Taiwan has to change the Chinese Communist Party, or the CCP will change Taiwan. I don't see any other alternatives, do you? A true democracy, on the basis of rule-by-law, is the only and the best weapon that Taiwan has to peacefully change CCP, as opposed to being changed!
欣賞CDL這篇和上篇中所闡述的觀點，民主不是無條件的，她的基礎就是國民的素質。如果有太多人容易被少數人挑唆，被少數人駕馭，或者太多人把自己的民主等同於對別人的專政，不能尊重別人，那麼這樣的民主只是一個口號，一個傀儡，極易被某些動機不純的政客操縱的傀儡。我是大陸人，不便評價臺灣的社會現狀。關於大陸，我是贊同Q的觀點的，真正的民主短時間內是無法在大陸實現的，草草實行“民主”的後果不亞於另一場文化大革命，或者更糟。每一樣美好的事物，是大家都想要的，可是未必是適合的。
Nobody like to be browbeaten or slighted, yet for thousands of years this is exactly the Chinese emperors' disdained view upon its peripherals, look at Korea, Vietnam then, and Tibet now. What is Chinese? and Chinese value? I like Chinese cultures, arts etc., but Chinese-centric view is ridiculously outdated, Chinese value are never perfect and static; look at this centric political view has done to its own people and peripherals, thousand years of struggles and deaths for an imperial policy, who's at fault? Independent way of life is every man's wish, and endeavor, why Chines emperors never devised an alternative, besides a central system and view? Every ruler should understand unity derived from consensus;, Taiwan is independent, game of words separates us apart in physic and mind, only this system is humane and natural, setbacks shouldn't deviate us from this universal value. 台灣無論是想統一還是要獨立,都必須要好好地對待中國,維持好和中國的關係 國家有時就像一個人,成長的過程是無法速成的,中國確實在很多方面還落後台灣很多,但是請想想台灣的過去,今日的中國和二三十年前的台灣何其相似? 因此將來的一段時間將是很關鍵的時刻,以台灣經驗來看,也許中國即將進入民主的初期,想想台灣過去經歷的民主陣痛,如果台灣在這個關鍵時刻沒有扮演好自己的角色,那對台灣而言將會是一場天大的災難。 所以請收起那種高高在上的態度,多拿出點同理心,就像人的成長過程,有些錯誤無論大人怎麼諄諄告誡,惟有親身經歷才會真的明白。所以台灣這個民主的前輩,請拿出做前輩的樣子,以經驗和耐心去引導中國這個小老弟,冷嘲熱諷於事無補,因為領土遼闊人口眾多的中國,一旦出現嚴重的青春期叛逆,對台灣甚至全世界都將是一場災難,因為這個小傢伙生得太壯了。
民進黨支持者對國民黨的不放心是有其歷史原因的。 我覺得不應該一竿子打翻說民進黨支持者都是不明是非的人。 如何讓民進黨，或是說泛綠的支持者能對台灣另外一半的人有同胞感，有信任感，是國民黨和國民黨支持者要一起努力的。 敵人，常常是自己製造出來的。 敵意，會相乘。善意，只是相加。
