MOTES OF SUNLIGHT
一一In Gratitude to Ya Hsien
Warmth is
A hormone filled with motes of sunlight
It is very rare
In this hazy, windy age
*
But long ago you readied
Warm stoves for light and heat
*
You lift that fiery hot one
For me
When my hands and feet felt cold
When you moved far away
To the neighbor of glaciers
OUT OF CONTEXT
1‧
Still got a headache
That man who is about to die still has got a headache
The spirit medium says: He still has unfinished business in this world
The pastor quietly tells the family
That there’s some money hidden under his pillow
*
That he’d forgotten to give his little lover, all those years
2、
I’m not too fond of striking up a conversation with you
Because we don’t have much in common
What I said Luoyang
Is definitely not the Chang’an you’re yearning for
When I say walking across the overhead bridge, you insist on it’s an overpass
*
To meet you on the other side of the road , I’ll have to take a detour
3‧
Do you want to admit that you are defeated, don’t you?
You’ve already got a medal of foam on your chest
Riding a dugout
You become the king of the sea
Always protected by the stormy wave rolling all around you
*
The slogan of the tempestuous billow is yelling enough to shaking the very heaven
4‧
You say that only the sun
Can cure your long-standing depression
To put a bright shine on you
You will become the golden light of dawn
The solar energy is nothing less than an aphrodisiacal hormone
*
Yet before your eyes there’s always the misty blur of rain
